Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I've lived here for almost two years. It hasn't been horrible but it hasn't been the greatest either. The upsides are that the community is beautiful. I love the apartment, I love it's layout and spacious closets. I love the bathtubs and the view. But i also have quite a few complaints. The office staff is horrible. They treat you like you are a moron if you ask them a simple question, they are snarky and less-than- friendly. A friend of mine once came to visit me and my name was not yet in the gate name-finder (and oddly still isn't to this day!) and she could not find me listed and didn't remember my apt. number that i had told her, so thinking that maybe the apt. complex would at least allow her to use to phone she stopped in the office. She explained the situation and they were like we can't give you any information, which was fine. she didn't want them to give her any information, she just wanted to be able to use the phone to call me to find out which apt. i was in. and they were very rude to her. So in turn she had to drive twenty minutes back to her home to call me because they couldn't even allow her to use a phone.
next on that note the maintance staff is mediocre. I've called about 15 seperate times because a leak in my roof. I live on the second floor. So, im not sure how a second story of a three story buildings roof would be leaking. But it has not been fixed and they keep telling me to sign a paper saying it's been fixed, of course i refuse because it's not fixed!
Parking is atrocious. I come home from work and I see all these cars that i've never seen before people hanging out all over other peoples cars. (there have been numerous times i've seen kids SITTING on my car) and nothing is ever done about it.
you can hear closet doors, sliding glass doors and toliets flushing. it's. just. noisy and annoying.
after the hurricanes they were in no hurry to help their residents. for instance the head maintance guys were too busy checking out each others 'cool' trucks.
well residents were moving trees and the sort themselves.
also, ants and bugs are a huge problem here, i've seen it. the garbage area is a nightmare. especially when you get attacked by a raccoon. and the office still does nothing to keep the trash mountains to a minimum.
overall, the beauty of the apartments doesn't make up for the heartache you endure trying to get the leasing office / maintance to do anything!
