I have read several posts where the commentators are on the verge of histeria. Granted thier situations would make anyone raving mad but it makes me wonder if there is perhaps a bit of over-exageration on some of these comments. I have been in the Grove for 1 year and yes, I have had issues. I too moved in to a less than magazine perfect apartment (realistically this is the norm being that these are rental units) but that didn't bother me cause it's only common sense. Yes, there were a few little stains here and there bur certainly not enough to notice. There was a problem with washer, it wouldn't irrigate well. I called them about it and they came out the next morning. My kids tore off the bathroom towel rack and they came back the next morning. During the rain season, worms come out by the stairway entrance, and again....they've responded in less than 24 hours...TWICE!!! Maybe twice they've taken longer to respond on minor repairs but only for about 3 days but at the end...it was done. Parking is a little hectic....but workable. Common sense: you live in a community with probably 500 cars...and you really find it alarming that you can't always park right outside your door' The fartherest I've ever had to park is about 200 yards. I used to park by the curb only for my convenience but they marked the curb yellow and didn't cite me on my first violation, instead they left me a warning that next time it will be towed. Again, common sense: there are inspectors that go thru these communities from time to time and if something needs to be regulated...The Grove has no choice. I know cause I work in service. Overall, the community is quiet (and I happen to live very near the entrance where traffic comes and goes) neighbors are friendly (don't think I may have ever come across the angry ones on this post), the staff, as all businesses have the good and the bad. Yes, there are about 2 of them in that office that seriously need to continue thier education and polish up on thier social skills. But everyone else, (including the pregnant lady mentioned in one of the posts) are very nice and courteous. (Never piss off a pregnant woman....serves you right). Rent did go up at the end of my lease for $30 more which is not bad. They do have issues to with main gate which I hope they can rectify quickly. I would recommend this place to anyone who has common sense and knows that these apartments are what they are ... rental apartments and although they are not custom crafted to match a page in Pottery Barn, they are still very nice and certainly not a rathole as some may have described. The area is very close to all shops and main roads but maintains a very quite and suburban setting. The gym is awesome and never crowded. As for the return of your deposit....they do this anywhere you go. I've been able to get up to 80% of my deposit back in my last places. It all depends on how you return your apartment and most importantly....on how they turned it in to you. I would take extra time on the walkthrough and keep a copy of the report. It pays off at the end.

Very nice, unbiased post. I applaud you. I, too, have had dealings for the past 2 yrs with this apt. complex and agree with your comments. When living amongst hundreds of units/ppl, one must have patience ... everything in good time. The grounds are clean, the area is good; so there are a few racoons ... appreciate them; if you know they congregate around the garbage area in the evening (and you don't like them) .... hey, take your garbage at another time of day! this shouldn't be a huge problem. Common sense is the rule of themb here ...... soon the only wild animals one will be able to see will be in a zoo .... how sad that day will be.....the masses of ppl congregating there (pushing and shoving, having no patience nor manners) to see the "wild" animals would drive me NUTS!! Hope those of you who have nothing good to say find your "perfect" apt .. but I must tell you I won't be holding my breathe! Enjoy!!!!

I have always gotten my entire security deposit returned and I've rented quite a few apartments...but not so with the Grove.

IM GLAD THAT YOU HAVE SO MUCH COMMON SENSE THAT YOU HAVE CHILDREN AND YOU THINK ITS OKAY THAT GATE HAVE NOT BEEN WORKING FOR A WHOLE YEAR NOW. SECOND OFF NOT BECAUSE YOUR HAVING THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE LIVING THERE, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT OTHERS ARE OR DID. YOU MUST KISS A LOT OFF ASS TO GET WHAT YOU WANT, BUT I NEVER FELT THE NEED TO BECAUSE MY RENT WAS ALWAYS AID ON TIME. SORRY TO ALSO BURST YOUR LITTLE BUBBLE, BUT CHECK OUT THE APARTMENT COMPLEX RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM THE GROVE, IT IS VERY NICE, MUCH CHEAPER, AND PARKING IS WAY BETTER. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE GYM IS NOT AS BIG. BY THE WAY JUST HOPE WHILE WALKING YOUR SOMEWHAT 200 YARDS TO YOUR APARTMENT THAT NO ONE HARM U IN ANYWAY DO TO LACK OF SECURITY THERE.
