Paying too much for the trouble

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002

I have lived at Paradise Pointe for the last year, and I am very displeased with the apartment community. From the very beginning , they have messed with our lives. they promised us one apartment, and then on the day we were suppose to move into that promised apartment, they told us it was not available. This left us in apanic with no electricity, phone, or cable for the new address (plus the utilities were turned on in OUR names in another apartment). After we moved in to our apartment, we found out that the CAC unit was not working properly. It took the maitenance 7 months to fix it right. Each time they cam e out they would just charge it with free on, which made the CAC work for only a couple of weeks. Then the ants came. We asked the office to fix the problem 5 times until we gave up on the office and learned to live with the ants( weare very clean people). Now finally our lease is up and we fouind a great place to live. So we did what we have done at every other apartment complex we have lived at, we sent a letter notifying them we were vacating the aprtment at the end of the lease. Well, then I recieved a rude phone call telling me that I had to give 60 day noticed before moving out. Well, nobody ever went over that with me, nor did they ever explain the lease in full detail. Now we currently are paying 1090 for a two bedroom apartment infested with ants which nothing works properly and paying rent for our current place of residence, thanks to the unqualified con artist at Paradise pointe. By the way every other apartment complex with a notice in the lease, sends you a letter when the notice has arrived for the lease. When I asked Paradise Points about this, they claimed they did ( which they did not) and then reminded thaat it was not their responsibility (it isn't, but it is common courtesy.). Don't move in to the paradiseless points!!!
