This is going to be a mixed review, because I think some people could be happy here, but due to several things, I'm really not. This will be long, but I'm hoping to help others have the info I wish I'd had to make an informed decision about moving in!

The biggest negative is that my apartment was broken into and my computer stolen 2 weeks after I moved in. Nothing like a break-in to make you feel safe!

The "kitchen" for the one bedroom really isn't much of a kitchen. There is a dorm sized refrigerator, which has a tendency to freeze things in the fridge section, while not keeping ice cream frozen in the freezer. There's no room to put a full-sized fridge, the only other solution I can come up with is buying a second mini fridge and putting it on the countertop. There is a microwave, but no stove/oven. I hardly ever cook, but even I miss being able to make grilled cheese and pizza! The kitchen also lacks a garbage disposal and dishwasher, which aren't dealbreakers, but would be nice to have. There is a lot of storage space in the kitchen, given its size.

The one bedroom doesn't have a washer and dryer, nor a hookup. This wouldn't be a big deal, except there are no laundry facilities on property, so you have to pack everything up and drive somewhere to do laundry.

The closet is located between the bathroom and living room, which is a little inconvenient. Due to the sort of circular design of the unit, to get to the bathroom from the living room, you either have to walk through the bedroom or closet.

Other than getting broken into, the apartment wasn't all that bad the first few months I lived here. Until I got neighbors. Bad neighbors are a possibility no matter where you live, but the bad construction quality here makes noisy neighbors a nightmare. This isn't the normal being able to hear if they yell or play loud music-- it is like being in the same room with them. You can hear every word said, even at normal speaking volume. You can hear every step someone takes upstairs. If the upstairs toilet flushes, it sounds like a downpour. You can hear every word said to the point that I knew everyone's name that lives there within a few days of hearing them over and over, and we dont even speak the same language.

The main unit and lockoff also seem to share a hot water heater, as I discovered when I tried to take a shower at the same time they were doing laundry. Brrr!

A few positive notes, just so this isn't entirely negative-- the units are new, so chances are that they will have never been lived in if you move in, or only have had one tennant. There are celing fans in the living room and bedroom, and the ac/heat work well. The person in the office who hands out mail is nice. (Some streets don't have mailboxes yet, so if you're living on one that doesn't, you have to pick up your mail in the office instead.) There are plenty of electrical outlets. Lots of counter space in the bathroom, which is very nice!

Wal-Mart is only a few minutes away, as well as several fast food places, Publix, a library, etc, all of which are nice to have close access to. You can make it to the Animal Kingdom area of Disney within 15-20 min. However, it does take 20 min to get to I-4.

There is plenty of parking, but that may be partly due to the fact that many of the units are still empty. (Of course, you could always take my neighbors' approach and drive straight through my yard to park in the grass at your door.)

The community's website advertises big plans-- restaurants and a water park included. But for the time being, it is all in an early construction phase, despite claims it will be completed in "early 2009". For now, there is no pool, nobody in the guard shack up front, loud construction workers, etc.
