Walls very thin, and no recycling!

I don't know what my downstairs neighbor does at night, but it sounds a lot like kicking furniture over for hours at a time.
The ladies in the office are nice, but not any more helpful than they need to be... We moved in here because they offer the opportunity to move to any other Aimco apt without breaking a lease (a must for us right out of college, still looking for jobs). They won't help you find a different one, though, which is annoying -- you can move without breaking a lease, but you have to do all the legwork yourself (in other words, the perk is limited).
The pond out back of our place has a fountain that's been broken since we moved in; the water is stagnant and has all kinds of algae growing on it (and trash thrown in there). There used to be ducks, but they seem to have gone somewhere else....
No recycling bins whatsoever. However, there are (I think) 3 laundry facilities on site, which is nice in that it's not just one for everyone. The fitness room still is open only during office hours due to whatever renovation they're finishing; but they let you swim in the pool past the "closing time" as long as you don't make noise or otherwise bother anyone.
You get one wall painted for free, and you can paint others as long as the colors are "approved." The carpets are nice and soft, and the cats love the screened-in patio. There is, however, a bit of a noise problem with the neighboring dogs.
It's a decent place and not too expensive; we haven't been here long enough to experience any of the drugs or crime a lot of other people seem to have problems with.
But I definitely agree that the walls are way too thin.
