Don't waste your parents money

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
My 2 roomates and I lived at the Cove Apartments for the 2001-2002 school year. When we first moved in, we thought that splitting the very expensive rent wouldn't be bad, the pool was very nice, and it seemed well maintaned. However, as time went by, the only thing that was good about the Cove was knowing that we were going to be leaving by May. One of our roomates ended up leaving in December and trying to get his name off of the lease was impossible. The managment was very unhelpful and they kept hassling us. When it was time to finally move out, they charged us a ridiculously expensive break-lease fee and charged us for absurd things like repainting the already nasty walls, and fixing of other random things.
Also, one of the main reasons we moved there is that we felt like we would be safe in the gated community. Yeah, right. As if living in South Daytona isn't bad enough, those gates were wide open just begging for criminals to come into this "luxury community" and steal all of our stuff. It was also VERY noisy. The doors were not hitched on right, they slammed really hard whenever anyone came in the apt. You could hear every move your roomates make.
Overall, the Cove was a rotten place to live, the only thing that I liked was the pool and the semi-river view. Besides that, don't waste your money or your parents money if you are a Riddle student.
