DO NOT MOVE HERE

Island Club's management office puts on the biggest front. They are really nice until immediately after you sign your lease and are locked in. We payed on time every single month and never had any complaints against us yet when our rent went up $110 they did nothing to try to keep us there other than tell us that Ocean Oaks (also owned by Aimco -- much better!) was lying to us about us not having to pay deposits. This turns out to be untrue because Ocean Oaks in fact did not charge us deposits because they took us as a Coast to Coast resident since we moved from Island Club. The management office at IC is so fake... one of the ladies drove by while showing another couple an apartment and waved and said hi and asked how my boyfriend and I were doing AS we were packing our cars and moving out. She didn't really care how we were doing she was just trying to impress the new potential residents. Do not get a lake view or woods view if at all possible. They tack on extra money for the most ridiculous things. Massive bug problem... always had spiders and occasionally ants and other things... a few lizards in the apartment too! I would never recommend IC to anyone.
