I see this place have some pretty terrible reviews, and I can relate to many of them.

I live in the "other end" of the apartment complex, and I dont suffer from any party or loud music problems. I know that during weekends, there is often rather loud parties going on around the pool area.

I must disagree with there being a parking problem. Recently friends of mine had their car towed because they parked without the sticker in their window. And I never have a problem with finding a parking space close to my entrance. But I live in the other end of lake forest. On the side by the pool, it seems they have too few parking spaces. They assign one parking sticker for each bed.

Our apartment also had the insect problem, but spraying took care of that. Things are getting rather old compared to the price we are paying, but maintenance usually fix things in 1-2 days after notifying the leasing office. The leasing office staff is very friendly and helpfull in all issues. They are not perfect, but at least they strive for it.

The maintenance guys or "pool boys" are another story. They do the job, but they sure arent as nice as the people in the leasing office.

The pool is cleaned regulary, but after parties during the weekend it more often than not is full of cans and other dirt. And its a serious amount of roaches swimming in the pool during summer time. The hot tub have been heated all the time during my seven months in the complex.

I've never seen any crime, but one time the police arrested someone bigtime.

I think one could find better apartments at a lower cost elsewhere, but Lake Forest have a few good qualities: short distance to the airport, high party factor (if you're one of the party people, why not move in with them), nice pool, nice washers and driers (brand new a few months ago), nice outside facilities (grills), beautifull lake and lots of norwegians. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
