In less than a year this place was bought and sold twice. The latest owners are completely remodeling the buildings and surrounding grounds and requiring that tenants move out, floor by floor. At this time they are only offering 7 month leases. You know that an announcement of a condominium conversion is coming next. If you do choose to sign a 7 month lease be prepared to pay around $1000 for a two bedroom. These two buildings were built in the early 60's and the bathroom fixtures and cabinetry and some appliances don't appear to have ever been updated. There's a lot of water damage throughout and warping. The lack of adequate ventilation in the bathrooms (despite having windows in mine) affects the paint.

No matter, everything in this building will soon be ripped out and replaced. I don't know who will be able to afford to rent or buy a unit at the Diplomatic Towers but it won't be me.

The management here is generally nice and helpful, with Anthony being especially pleasant and genuine. Sheyla... not so much. She is generally civil though. Maintenance could be better, and in fact has recently improved with the hiring of a new gentleman.

I liked my privacy, the multitude of windows I had in my corner unit, and my riverfront view. I hated the crappy old and inefficient AC and the dilapidated appearance of fixtures 40 years old.

If I had to do it over again, I would move here, but not if I knew in advance that I'd have to move AGAIN in less than a year.
