The Overlook at Daytona formerly Diplomatic Towers Apartments
< | >
I recently relocated from out of state signing a lease sight un-seen. I was really nervous upon my arrival especially after hearing the rumors of The Diplomatic Towers and apartment complexes always look so great online. I had visited Daytona and viewed a handful of apartments but ended up signing a lease with The Overlook at Daytona (which I didn't get a chance to see)because their staff was the most attentive and willing to help me over the phone. When I arrived here it was better than the pictures I saw online. I had been told about the remodeling and renovations over the phone but expected that to just be a coat of fresh paint. Everything in my apartment was brand-new down to the appliances, like no one has ever lived there before. I was impressed by the lobby too. It feels as if you're walking into a 5 star hotel or a fancy condominium. It was hard moving 2000 miles across country but the staff made it a smooth transition for me. A couple of the construction guys even helped me carry in my heavy tv when I was moving in! If I could have signed a longer lease I would have. The best thing about my apartment would definately have to be the view. I can see the halifax river and the ocean from my balcony. I've even seen dolphins! and the beach is only a few blocks away. I can't wait for the completion of the swimming pool and fitness center. The construction looks like it is wrapping up. I saw some of the other complaints about living in a construction zone. The way I look at it is they're just trying to make this a better place to live. I'm more than happy to suck it up and wait for the end results! As far as the noise, its very rare for me to hear my neighbors. I thought it would take some getting used to the traffic noise living on Seabreeze but the only time it ever bothered me was during biketoberfest. It was nothing that a pair of earplugs and a fan couldnt solve. I'd rather be where the action is anyway!
