Shoddy construction. Maitenance man is good but they subcontract work out for most things, i assume to lowest bidder because the work done is very bad and slow. The will start a project that should be a 1 day thing and it takes months. They will tear up entire complex and leave it that way for months rather than do small sections at a time. Also they use different materials on apartments so there is no consistancy. They have washer/dryer hookups but expect it to be wired for an oven connection instead. Parking is bad when most units are rented. No designated parking spots. Cars get broken into often and also there has been vandalism. Lighting has gotten a bit better but still not great. They are not government subsidized so no income restrictions which is a plus. They require renters insurance so tack that onto your rent. Air Condition not sufficent for units so get a fan. Poor insulation also. Nice attic in each unit for storage. No pest control. This is definitely the worst apartment i have seen in Deland but easiest to get into. Definitely overpriced. Better to live in Daytona for better place that is cheaper rent. Think of this place as a trailer park without wheels.
