To those of us who live here, and to those of you who are considering a move, listen up. Presentation, Presentation, Presentation. That's what Villas D'Este is all about. Groom the grounds and and all else will take care of itself. Lets face it folks, its not only about the visual. A residence is more than a crystal clear pool and neatly trimmed grass. The position of management has been "if a problem can't be remedied by maintenance, then there is no need to fix it". Paper thin walls and noise, peeling paint....that's OUR problem. Barking dogs, cars getting broken into....that's our problem too. The "Oscar for incompetence" (the envelope please) goes to Villas D'Este Management for the tenant memo it circulated in response to the recent car break-ins. It stated that WE (the tenants) and the Police Dept. are the only ones responsible for our safety. Management stated clearly that they provide NO LEVEL of security whatsoever. DUH Management...is that not a security gate that thru which we enter the property' Oddly enough, the car break-ins happened while the gate was down while in process of upgrade. Should there not have been a guard there during construction' Haven't we all have been issued coded remote controls and coded cards so that only WE can enter and use the facilities' Yet Villas D'Este claims this is NOT a security feature, so please don't come to them or attempt a lawsuit should you be robbed or mugged. I say give the staff in the office their pink slips, and let the maintenance staff run the show! Let them know we see thru the facade, and have had enough of their smoke and mirrors.

Agree too---they are very nice when you come to rent--the place is very attractive--but they could not care less about safety. Lots of cars follow other cars in the gate which was the problem before the gate was upgraded. Hello the gate should be up to keep people out not for appearance. The maintanence guys are great and they need to be because the manager is quite the useless unfriendly creature too.

I went to check this place out a while back...and it was pretty decent...the office lady seemed nice..but she certainly looked like she could be a two faced woman.

I was There in 2005 and 2006. It`s a great place. I enjoyed the time at the pool and the people who live there are very nice. My friend was living in 1702. I was there on vacation. Heinz from Germany

Actually, the staff are being truthful when they state that the gates are not for security (I am a former apartment leasing agent). It is a huge misconception and when took potential residents on tours of a community, I always made sure I explained that point to avoid just this type of confusion. The gates are asthetic and helps to reduce (somewhat) non-residents casually driving into the apt. complex. It's understandable that when a resident moves in and hears this after the fact, that they are upset and feel the staff are just being uncaring/unprofessional. Had I not been a leasing agent, I would still be under the impression that the gates are there to provide security, as most leasing staff never mention the real purpose.
