Not worth the price

I read the reviews below and I agree with all of it. If I had an inkling of how things were run/done I would have never moved to this place. I can't wait to move out. We signed a 7 month lease.

Pros:
1.Quiet
2.Enough Parking
3.Near Good Schools
4.Near most main highways
5.Close to shops and malls

Cons:
1.To get anything fixed correctly in the apartment (unless it's something simple like changing a light bulb) is a challenge. Shortly after moving in I noticed that both the kitchen and bathroom sink were leaking. They were able to fix the leak in the kitchen but I had to call them 3 times about the leak in the bathroom. The plunger which allows water to collect in the sink is missing a piece of rubber or metal and whenever the facet was turned on and off water would drip and collect underneath the cabinet. The maintenance man suggested that was how the sink was designed and told me not to let water get near that area (which is impossible). He informed me that several units were in the same situation. Because of the Palms reluctance to fix the leak the bathroom has consistently smelled a little moldy.
We also had an issue with the closet in the other bedroom. They did not install the closet shelf (where you can hang clothes) correctly. The first time it fell I thought maybe I had overloaded it (I was mainly using it to store winter clothes-and although it wasn't stuffed full I figured that maybe it was too heavy) They fixed it and this time around I was very careful. The shelf fell again and I could see that they hadn't installed the shelf into studs....not even reinforcements. It was solely in drywall-I may not know much about installation but I can tell what is right and what is wrong. Thank god no one got hurt in either case. The third time I had made sure to tell them that this was the 2nd time they had to come around and that I wanted it done right. The final time they came and used reinforcements.
2.The upstairs unit has leaked 2x. The first time I called maintenance about a leak on the ceiling. The second time the dishwasher in the upstairs unit leaked and flooded the upstairs unit and slightly a little bit into my unit. They came in to inspect damages and said they would send someone to dry out the carpets. After 2 days with no one doing just that I called them and still no sign of anyone coming to take care of the mess.
3.When the doors are shut in both bedroom the A/C is barely circulating and it can get hot.
4.Even though there are ample parking spaces you will find inconsiderate neighbors who want to park right in front in a non designated parking area. The Palms could care less and let these tenants continuously park there even if they are blocking traffic (esp if more than 1 car is trying to get by).
5.On certain days the smell from the trash incinerator near by can get pretty intense. The incinerator is about 7 blocks away.
6.We have always been on time and diligent about paying our rent on time. They send out letters if you are late. We have gotten 2 letters...it turns out that they keep mistaking our building for the building next door (they differentiate apartments by the building number-apartment number). Also the name on the letter is not ours. What does that tell you about the staff when they can't get their building numbers correct.
7.Some of the tenants are extremely inconsiderate (even by Miami standards). Many times when bringing the trash to the trash bin (which we have to drive to) you will find trash piling on the outside. I mentioned the illegal parking. At the gate some of the tenants have a remote for the gate and will actually bypass you and cut you off as you go to swipe in order to open the gate. Or they will wait for you to open the gate and cut you off to go in first.
8.I can't testify to the condition of the gym but the car port to wash cars is inoperable.
9.There are ants everywhere.They have yet to come in to spray for pests.
