I lived there for 2 years. (I now own a home with in a few miles of MacAlpine).I moved from out of state to what I thought was a pretty place. Apparently MGT is even worse than when I lived there if that is possible.They only want money so they let anyone live there. Management has a very bad attitide problem which appears not to have changed. It is built on land fill. Are they still venting mentane' Whew what a smell!
If you have one cosmetic problem when you move out they charge you exhorbitently,with no recourse. I did not have fees because I knew enough to touch up anything remotely questionable because I saw what happened to others. They allowed a pedophile to reside there.. but did remove him after it was pointed out. You can hear everything in all the apartments,fighting,someone peeing in the next apartment,and people having sex. Every day activities such as walking, putting down the groceries or kids coming in and placing back packs down are very magnified to the people under you so, you can make enemies fast because of the poor construction. If you are on the first or second floor dont count on getting sleep. The noise in the hallways is horrific! They constructed the buildings so very poorly, and they dont tell you that when you tour the place.
Don't live there, its not worth the aggravation. Pretty to look at , poison to live there. To those who say why dont people just move..when you just moved from out of state with all lifes treasures and the stress of that and then in two months you find out Mac Alpine is not what it promised, it takes a while to recoup and look around and save money and if you move before your contract is up they take alot of money from you-- read your contract--like 1,200... thats a lot of money plus you need down payments at your new place or for a house.. I dont suppose Mac alpine could give tours that say, welcome,this fine place was built on Land fill and we used the most inferior products we could find, your neighbors will hate you because they can hear everything you do, and well if you come to us with a problem you will be the 300th person and we are tired of it so we are going to be mean and short tempered or non responsive to your request. We know your not going to move to quickly because we placed you in a contract and if you do break it we will get an exhorbitant amt of money from you and then get in the next unknowing victim who can be conned by nice pictures and landscaping.
The truth is there is no integrity or honesty to be found at the offices or Management/owners of Mac Alpine place.

Hmmm.... interesting, another United Dominion complex. Seems to be their staff behaves the same way at all their complexes.
