Nothing ever works. The business center never works (either the the computer/printer is broken, the internet is down, or the place is simply locked during business hours). The grills never work, and if by chance they do, someone else will always beat you to them. So, imagine taking all of your food down to the pool to grill out, then trying the other pool, then having to go back to your apartment to cook your food. The stairwells are always very dirty with cigarettes and other miscellaneous items. My neighbors have had the cops called on them approximately 6 times and when I came home the other night, there were literally 6 cop cars and a cop van for what the police department said was a "domestic dispute". These are my neighbors and I had to hear the cops talking to the "drama victim" for several hours. I think the only requirement for working in the office is that you MUST be a ditz. They lost my check one month and said for me to just write another and do a stop payment at my cost on the one they lost. They don't ever follow up with anything and they have no idea what they are doing. The turnover in that office with staff and management is unbelievable. Then they try to screw you out of money by requiring a 60 day notice, even when your lease expires. If you go month to month, they tack on approximately $250 per month, making it impossible to get out of there. It's probably easier to get out of the mafia than MacAlpine...

The business center has not been open for almost a year now as we have set up wireless internet access in the clubhouse and surrounding front pool area. Residents are now able to use wireless internet completely free of charge with their laptops versus using a confined business center. We also purchased brand new gas grills for our community just a couple of months ago. They are in great working condition. Unfortunately since they are located in a public area, they are available at a first come first serve basis and do get a lot of use by our residents. We are happy to see that they are getting used quite often, but cannot guarantee that they will be available to every person that hopes to use them, especially on a busy weekend. The staff here has been in place for some time now. True the newest member has been here for just a few months, but this was a result of some much deserved promotions that resulted from working in our office. We always support those that are able to move up with our company due to their hard work and dedication. Finally, as most apartment communities owned by large companies in this area, a 60-day written notice is always required by every resident so we are able to know if we need to re-rent the apartment or if a resident is choosing to stay with us another year. This is stated clearly on the front page of the lease and also on the several renewal letters that this particular resident did receive.

Sure management, and what about when your staff lies? Also how come you never address the criminal element that live in your development. You do not because you are parasites trying to suck every penny you can out of everyone that lives there. The market is tough. Houses are for rent everywhere in north Pinellas. You have to lower standards to continue to make your buck. Why don't you come out and admit it instead of lying and fabricating. That's right, I forgot who I was addressing, that's all you know how to do.

Totally agree with you Anonymous. You can't believe a word out of MPA staff members mouths. They are forced to lie to tenants which is another reason why a lot of people working there quit after a month or two. MacAlpine Place just needs to admit that they are failing to provide a quality development and find a new owner, change the name, hire new management with HONEST, fresh vision, (KICK OUT THE DRUGGIES FIRST) and then do things like clean the stairwells, and fix the perpetually broken "security gate". The whole company is a joke and you're right, it is hard to get out of there without paying through the nose, either in fees, your deposit or overinflated water & garbage charges. YES - YOU PAY McALPINE FOR THESE! Criminal.
