I never liked magnolia Grove, but i had just moved to the area. I rented a 2bd/1bth. I moved in June 2007. I had a roach problem for 5 months, i continued to complain, but it took 5 months to solve that problem. I was never late with the rent, never had a complaint on me. Before I moved out I borrowed a carpet cleaner from my friend and had the carpet looking as good as when i moved in. Nothing was broke, nothing at all. I cleaned all the rooms. When i inquired about getting my deposit, they told me that it was used to clean the apartment, I called management office and they pretty much told me that i didn't have proof that the apartment was clean when i moved out. I told them to keep the money if you crooks need it that bad, but I will make sure that I let people know and you will lose more than i have, i can promise you that. So if you move out video tape and take pictures of the apartment, also secretly record your conversations with the managers because they are liars and will do or say anything for a buck. You will need proof when you go to court so start developing your case before you move out because they are certainly going to lie!

When I moved out, they charged me $1700 to "clean" the apartment. Admittedly, they needed to replace the carpet as I had lived there for 2 years and seldom cleaned it myself. But they charged me $80 to replace light fixtures which didn't exist in the apartment, as well as to replace cabinets, etc. Essentially I paid to renovate it for the next tenant. I refused to pay and am now in collections. BASTARDS!
