I moved in May of 07, there were no maintenance people available so i had to do the walkthrough with a manager. There were holes in the ceiling, unpainted doors, cracks in the ceilings and walls, the screen door was busted, and all in all wasnt in that great of shape. She said a work order would be put in and everything would be taken care of. There is also something they call the "accent wall program" where you pick a color and any wall in your apartment and they come paint it for free and you dont have to paint it back, it was supposed to be done before we moved in, never received a call about it so we just kind of gave up on the idea. In November they called to schedule the painting, 7 months later. We have had a lot of maintenance problems from toilets running all day and night, tub not draining (after 3 bottles of draino, still nothing) and never coming clean, sink clogging and everytime the dishwasher would run really nasty water would back up into both sinks, the front door (which looks to have been at some point kicked in because of the huge crack down the center and the metal bracket holding it together) coming apart and not closing properly, the screen door hinge broke so it wouldnt close, the outlets are so lose that plugs fall out of them, and windows leak like crazy in the master bedroom. It took 6 visits to the office to get the screen door fixed and when the sink clogged and overflowed it was after hours and i called emergency maintenance (because it wasnt just water backing up, really gross) and the guy was really rude and didnt even end up coming out until the next day and left a really nasty note on the maintenance slip. And yes, when people say there are roaches.. omg i dont know where they all are coming from. I keep my home very clean but they are always everywhere, its disgusting. I have road traps EVERYWHERE and there is always a can of raid sitting on the counter. Ive told the office about it several times and they have always put in a work order and nothing has ever been done about it. The gates that they put up rarely work properly and if they do they end up broken shortly after. Ive called the cops on my neighbors several times because i can hear them fighting so loud through my bedroom wall it sounds like hes about to kill the girl there.
There are some really shady and creepy people wandering around too.. for a younger girl that lived alone there for a while.. really super creepy and never felt safe. Not to mention that some of the maintenance guys are total creeps who make disgusting and rude remarks. Parking isnt to bad, but my car is always getting dinged and hit and the office will not do anything about it. It is cheap and big but totally not worth it. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
