Gone, but not Forgotten

After shifting through 86 poorly written reviews, I decided to share with you my experience at Marina Bay.
I lived on the 4th floor of one of the dorms (yeah, I believe I coined that name for the "highrise" towers). My apartment overlooked the pool and the marina. I couldn't hear the highway or the train. If you tool an apartment knowing the train tracks were there, you lost your right to complain.
I never heard my neighbors and with a 600-watt surround sound, I never had my neighbors asking me to turn my sound down. My apartment was exactly as advertised, and the only reason I wasn't able to move in on the agreed upon date, was due to a hurricane. I'm not blaming that on the management.
Speaking of management, when I was there, none of them could be trusted. But like the apartment near the tracks, if you actually thought these people were supposed to be truthful, honest, and helpful to you in any way after you signed a lease, then you're naive and should run back to the embrace of your mommy and daddy. These people are doing a job - to get your name on a lease. Once that is accoomplished, you're dead to them.
Amenities' The gym is OK if you don't have a need to work out your legs, or don't mind waiting to use the two machines available. The gym is good when you don't feel like trekking out ot a real gym, or as a place friends and family can use when they visit. The pool is quiet and if you're intension is to relax and catch some sun, you can do that. If you're thinking it's going to be scene from a hip-hop video, you're out of luck. Plus, that whole drinks delivered to the pool is far from a selling point.
Speaking of the Rendezvous, the bar/restaurant next door. Nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to become a regular. That place gets old quick...
The people living at Marina Bay are people - not worse or better than people living any place else. Some are nice, some suck. Some score good weed and some can't take care of their 16-year old kids and blame others. You do find yourself talking to people who you may never speak to in any other scenario - so Marina Bay is good for that.
Never saw a roach, a maggot, a mouse or anything of the like in my apartment or in the hallways. The apartment is kept clean and if she is still there, -------- is worth the price of admission alone. She is a bright light who always has a smile and a kind word. Oh, that breakfast thing. Long lines and it seems that everyone tends to have whatever they picked up at Space the night before grubbing free grub. If you feel the need to stand on a wrap around line for some cold eggs, then the breakfast is all good. My suggestion, grab some fresh squeezed OJ and hit the gym.
Overall, I bet you can find better all around for the money, but don't be dismayed by all that's written here. I'm not sure what people expect for a thousand bucks. Where I come from , a grand for an apartment is a steal, if people think a grand elevates them into a higher class of living, then they just don't know better.

I am currently looking for a new apartment for my husband and I.I pass the Falls everynight on my way home from work. After doing some research and quickly driving by the complex I was pleased and considering it for my next home. Then I came across all these nasty reviews, this particular review gave me hope. The falls would definitly be one of the better places I've lived...when you come from nothing and can afford to live some where like this place it's definatly an upgrade! I'm looking forward to meeting the staff and touring the grounds
