My mother lived at Lago mar for a year and she couldn't stand it. The leasing office is terribly rude and unhelpful. The grounds are not kept up like they promised. I was still waiting for them to clean up the community from the hurricane in March. Since I was so unhappy I decided to buy a condo about 3 miles away to put my mother in. I saved about 40k by buying in a similar property (with some of the same problems). But I would rather save the money. Do your homework before you buy at this inexpensive mess, with a good location. Don't be fooled by smoke and mirrors. One nice clubhouse doesn't make a nice property.

What March Hurricane ?? We purchased the Isles in August 2005, and went condo in January!! You are talking about a previous year ( Hurricanes don't occur in March ) or a previous landlord, or another property maybe in another state. The grounds, by the way, recently won an award for beautification of the city. |

Hurricane Wilma hit October 24th 2005 and this property was a mess until April 2006. The lack of hurricane clean up from this property was sad. There were broken lightpoles and storm gutters laying everywhere in the parking lot until Thanksgiving! The notice to go condo was sent out to residents on October 18th (I have a copy if the Mgr would like to see it). |
