I am a previous employee of Port Royale, I was an employee for 9 years and I know for a fact that the staff and the manager try very hard to accomodate all of the residents. You have to realize that there are 737 apts. with at least an avarage of 1400 residents. The few who complain are the ones who come into the office, hear the phones constantly ringing and other residents waiting very nicely to speak with someone, and they butt in and start off with the statement"YOU PEOPLE" which is very hard to help them when they are out for blood from the "get go" and others are waiting ahead of them. Sure it isn't fun to wait a few minutes but do you yell and scream at the doctors office when you have to wait' Port Royale is a very lovely place to live and work, most of the residents are wonderful and have become good friends of mine, but you always have the complainers who will yell and shout like little children whenever they are not pacified at the first instant of discomfort. The General Manager works harder than any I have every seen and puts in hours none of the residents know about. I know how much the staff cares as I used to be one of them and when a foul-up occours it is very upsetting and they try to fix it if at all possible. The maint. staff is hard working and caring of their work. The pools are beautiful and the area is incomparable on the Intracoastal, check out some other properties before you complain about how you are treated and the amenities at Port Royale. I think Port Royale is the best!!

I agree Port Royale isn't the worst place and no one can expect perfection, but please don't tell me that waiting 30 minutes to talk to someone, employees (particurally one which I won't name)never answering the phones unless you *67 and calling three times on the maintenance hotline to get a problem fixed is good service.

I don't know where you are from, but where I come from even people who provide POOR customer service ACKNOWLEDGE a customer with a "hello, nod, or a be with you in a moment." I always allot myself ONE HOUR minimum when I NEED to go to the office with an issue - because I sit and wait for so long. AND I resent the insinuation that as a customer I am not polite. I come in EVERY time with a smile and a hello - and a positive attitude that I will be well taken care of - only to be let down time and time again! That's too bad and very dissapointing - because just a small bit of courtesy goes a LONG WAY! Even a smile and nod would be far superior to the treatment we get... and not just sometimes but EVERY SINGLE TIME!
