I am a resident of 2 years and I love Port Royale. All of the people who are writing bad reviews are probably the people who have been evicted or couldn't afford it. Stop being so salty, it is one of the best neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale.

Good for you if you can afford it. And you obviously cannot compliment the place without degrading those who have had bad experiences, and who actually have detailed descriptions to prove why Port Royale leaves much to be desired. Can you? No doubt it is a great neighborhood, but that does not make Port Royale a good place to live. The staff knows nothing about customer service, and the pool area is always dirty. Great place to pay expensive rent, huh?

I completely agree with Anonymous from 10/10/08. I lived there in the past and while it is the best location and could be a beautiful property the guard gate is not operated correctly for the price they charge you to live there. They state that is why the rates are higher because it's a gated community, but then the guards let anyone and everyone just come right on in! The office staff is the worst I have ever experienced & I have rented my entire life! As I stated in a different response Equity Property CLEARLY needs some Customer Service Training programs for their property management teams! I wish they would just sell that place to someone who knows how to manage properties. Don't just read posts about the property YOU live in or want to live in - read posts regarding ALL properties owned/operated by the management company of the property you desire to live ... THATS good research! Look on this site... Equity purchased a BEAUTIFUL property that I used to live in in Orlando (Alexandria at Park Vue - look it up) - according to comments on this site they ran it into the ground, and when I lived there it was one of the TOP places to live. Equity has tons of properties in Orlando and when I relo'd I looked many of Equities apts, and although great locations or used to be beautiful properties they were all disgusting trashy places compared to the properties managed by great companies like Sentinel, Archstone, Olen (who manages Players Club apts in Coral Spgs)Scully and others. I rarely comment on websites but this place is just so sad because of the Management and it's something that could be soooooo easily fixed thus making the place #1 in Ftl. What a waste when the solution is so simple.

WHO IS THE IDIOT THAT WROTE THIS? JUST FOR THE RECORD I WASN'T EVICTED I HAPPENED TO HAVE LEFT PORT ROYAL BECAUSE REANT IS TO HIGH FOR A CRAPY APARTMENT AND THAT'S WHY I MOVED TO A BEAUTIFUL NEIGHBORHOOD IN BOCA WHERE PEOPLE ARE NOT LIKE THE IDIOT THAT WROTE THIS... GET A LIFE LOOSER STOP DEFENDING WHAT YOU DON'T OWN. PS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK OF BUYING INSTEAD OF RENTING LOOSERRRRRRRR

This comment was probably made by the douche bags employees that pretend to "work" in the Port Royale office and ignore residents calls and complaints. No true resident would write this! I totally agree with all of the responses above!
