Talk about a place going DOWNHILL!

I don't even know where to begin, but I've read all the previous posts and reviews and all of the complaints and negative opinions are true. Management of this place keeps getting worse and worse, rules are only inforced when in favor of the landlord, never the tenant. There's no longer any apparent screening of applicants, people are allowed to let their dogs poop everywhere and keep trash and other stuff piled up on their balconies. Security is definetely an issue, as is noise and other disturbances that are never addressed. The water and trash fees keep increasing monthly without explanation, and maintenance issues take forever to be resolved. Parking is also sometimes an issue, as people store commercial vehicles in the guest spots even though it is forbidden in the lease. I could go on and on, but basically I will not be renewing my lease and wish I could move now!

When Minto managed the complex it was fine. Avoid it now. There was damage during Hurricane Wilma and black mold.

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE WITH THESE COMMENTS- THE MANAGEMENT HERE SUCKS TO BE KIND. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE PLACE AND I HAVE LIVED HERE 4 YEARS AND HAVE BEEN BROKEN INTO TWICE (WITH NO FORCED ENTRY!)THE MANAGEMENT HAS GONE WAAAYYY DOWNHILL OVER THE YEARS AND THEY LEASE APARTMENTS TO ANYONE NOW BECASUE THEY CAN GET ANYONE TO MOVE IN HERE. MY BUILDING HAS NOT BEEN FULL FOR YEARS- AND I AM BEING TOLD THEY NOW LEASE PLACES TO GOVERNMENT ASSISTED AS WELL- THEY USED TO NOT LET PETS- NOW THERE ARE DOGS CRAPPING EVERYWHERE- THEY USED TO FINE PEOPLE FOR LEAVING THEIR GARBAGE BAGS OUTSIDE THEIR DOORS - NOW I SEE IT ALL OF THE TIME AND MANAGEMENT COULD CARE LESS!! I WISH I COULD TALK TO ANYONE THING OF RENTING HERE FOR 5 MINUTES- I COULD SAVE THEM A LOT OF TIME AND FRUSTRATIONS!! I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT THE PROBLEMS WITH THIS PLACE BUT LIKE THE PREVIOUS PERSON WROTE- YOU GET THE POINT-- STAY AWAY!!!

Everything said in this post and all of the others is TRUE!!! During the one year I lived there I saw the place go downhill, fast. First of all, during the time I lived there the place was sold 4 times and each time a new management company took over. On a couple of occassions when I drove into the complex I was "greeted" by soap suds flowing from the fountain. Ok, the first time I laughed but by the second and third time I was not laughing anymore. The element living there had gone to crap and it was very apparent that they were letting everyone and anyone in. I decided to move out early and gave 60 days notice. Marilyn told me that I since my apartment was considered desirable given it's location that she did not see a problem with it being rented quickly and therefore I would most likely not owe any additional money until it was rented. I found out that it was rented a couple of weeks AFTER I LEFT. I heard nothing further until I received a notice from a collection agency ALMOST ONE YEAR LATER informing me that I owed thousands of dollars. Who are they kidding?? I'll bet mamagement changed again after I moved out and the new managers can't keep track of the accounting. Oh -and another thing. I was living there when there was a rash of breakins. Someone had tried to break into my apartment - apparent when I went to unlock the deadbolt and the entire mechanism came out into my hand. Called the police who confirmed the presence of pry marks indicating that someone DID in fact try to break in. I am convinced it was an inside job because at the time laptops were being stolen. It's kind of funny that they KNEW which people had laptops and broke into only those apartments. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT RENTING HERE, REGARDLESS OF THE MOVE IN SPECIALS THEY HAVE TO ENTICE YOU!!! Otherwwise you will live to regret it!!
