First off, let me say that College Club could be one of the best apartment complexes in Fort Myers. They have a great location next to the Gulf Coast Town Center. The complex is not far from FGCU, and it is right off of I-75. The construction of the apartments is standard, but not bad. They offer free cable and the apartments come with free (albeit low quality) furniture. The pool is of a good size, as is the hot tub. The fitness center is good enough for basic work outs, and the game room and lobby are well appointed and quite nice. They even have a computer center. Of course, the computers are often on the fritz and the staff has absolutely no idea what to do when that happens. As a side note, I have caught people looking at pornography in the computer center, even though it is a public place and there is a camera in the room (and they weren't just looking at it).

Having emphasized the great potential of this complex, I now have to tell you that the complex does not live up to its potential at all. It is the management and the tenants that they allow to come in that ruin this complex. The management is far below sub-par and they really don't care what you have to say about the problems. They will lie to you and tell you that they are fixing the problems, but they are not fixing anything. The management is made up mostly of 20 year old college students who are only interested in partying. There is only one adult on staff, and she is obviously overworked and not sympathetic at all.

The tenants here are very bad. They smoke in the apartments (even though the apartments are non-smoking), they listen to their music WAY too loudly (I've heard the 3rd floor apartment above me, and I'm on the first floor), they are generally inconsiderate of anyone else, they are, for the most part, thugs that just want to start fights. The parties they throw around the common pool area usually amount to drunken, topless boozfests. They break glass all over the place (which does not get picked up because there is only one maintenance guy for the whole complex). They drive way too fast in the parking lot, and they are often driving drunk (someone bashed into my left tail light and didn't even leave a note). In short, the tenants are, on average, the bottom of the barrel. They come here because it is cheaper than a lot of other places. Unfortunately, the civilized tenants end up paying for it in other ways.

The gate has not been operational since I have been here (15 months), and cars come and go as they please. As I said earlier, there are broken beer bottles all over the place. The lights around the pool are rarely on at night, and the same goes for many of the lights in the parking areas. The complex is always full of trash, and there are often fights in the parking areas.
I have not felt safe at all in this complex, and I am looking forward to the end of my lease. The staff is useless, the manager doesn't care, the owners obviously don't care, and 80% of the tenants are seriously the bottom of the barrel. If you have any class whatsoever, do not come here. If you are a parent and are thinking of putting your kid here, I beg you to reconsider. The cops come by here all the time, and it isn't just to say hi. Please do not come here! Until the owners want to make this place great, it will be horrible. Like the summary says, this is THE place for drunken, classless partyers who are the bottom of the barrel.

You are soooo right!!! The glass is all over, and Cara the "manager" keeps telling me she is fixing problems,... it has been weeks now and nothing is done. DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!!
