I was able to get my deposit back with the exception of $200. They said they would have had to replace the carpet. The carpet was ruined from the flooding. Their maintenance people came in during the flood and moved my things while I was not there and left an ink pin and a magic marker which bled all over the floor. I had several witnesses which helped me reorganize my things and were shocked by the mess left. They never tried to clean the carpet either. In my opinion, they were shouting and rude when you tried to speak to them. This is not a professional way of dealing with people. I have witnesses to several conversations. It is a tone like how an adult would talk down to a child. They later tried to claim the flood damage didn't even exist even tho I had witnesses who noticed the complete differences. I also have before photos and after photos. Either way, they are very dishonest. There is frequently garbage stacked outside the garbage disposal unit. I have photos of that. I am in the processes of reviewing claims sent to the health department. They are public record. If you want to know what really goes on around an apartment complex, contact the county or city of the apartment complex. Talk to as many people as you can. Talk to people for months and years if you have to.... I plan on finding out why regional offices mismanage property. If you try to address any problems, they just tell people if you don't like it, get out. Or we won't be renewing your lease. If you read this review and take a chance on living there I hope you don't encounter any problems. GSI won't be the least bit responsible if you do. Also BEWARE of anonymous comments made by people who like this place. It's probably just someone in the office trying to cover from the mostly negative comments. Why would you be anonymous if you liked the place. The only reason to be anonymous is so the staff doesn't take revenge on you for your unhappy review.
