Gulfstream Slums is what it should be called

I have lived here for two years and can't wait to move out next month. The staff does not allow you to see your unit until you sign a lease. It was underhanded to force me to sign a lease prior to seeing the unit. I know why, the conditions of the apartment are appalling. I have had stains on my vinyl floors that are impossible to clean since the day I moved in. The cabinets have also been cracked since the day I moved in and a cigarette burn is in the living room carpet since the day I moved in. I have endured two floods and months of trying to get rid of roaches.

My unit was infested with roaches to the point I had to spend the night in a hotel with my cats and bomb the apartment. They refused to reimbursed me for my hotel stay in the amount of $132 or for my expenses to bomb the apartment to get rid of the roaches. It is a joke and misleading that they answer the phone "Voted the best is southwest Florida", I suspect false advertising. I am thrilled to be leaving this apartment complex. They have a reputation of not refunding deposits and management not caring about its residents. This place is an embarrassment and has been the only thing I have disliked about living in Florida. I am glad I am leaving so I can finally vocalize my feeling about this slum.

You are welcome to visit the office and view the "Best of Southwest Florida" awards. I have no roach problems and feel that perhaps if is your standard of living causing roach problems. The apartments are in good shape. Perhaps if you want a brand new apartment you should go to a brand new community and pay the rents being asked at them!!!

happysince02 (aka gsi employee) -- I would like to know what year gsi was voted the best in SWFL. It must have been when they first opened over ten years ago. I also had stains on my floors that would not come off.

It appears to me, that Gulfstream Isles has thier own "Negativity" retaliation crew..responding to these comments. Of course good comments go without anyone saying anything. You say on bad thing, they immediatley jump you, and try to undermind you by making you seem less-than-perfect. Lawyers, gotta love em.
