Not great, but not horrific either

Pro's:

Good location. Close to shops, mall, restaurants, bus route, etc. Even the smallest apartment is a good size for 1 person. Totally bug-free. Had new carpet and blinds fitted just before I moved in. Windows and patio door have screens so you can let air in without bug problems. Maintenance not too bad. AC conked out twice, but the second time, they fixed it on the same day they were notified, and on a Saturday, although when I first moved in, it took a whole week for them to fix it. The buildings are well lit. I don't feel unsafe going home at night. Most of the neigbours are really nice and considerate. Landscaping is adequately maintained and looks okay. Pools kept spotlessy clean and plenty of sun-loungers around them. Never had an issue with attitude of staff members, they've always been polite to me.

Cons:

Parking not too good. If you don't get home in the evening quickly, there's no room near your apartment if you live in the busiest part. The parking is not assigned. They also allow people with junked out cars to park in spots near the building, wasting a space that could be used for someone who actually drives their car. Management do try to put a stop to noisy neigbors, but one or two of them are inconsiderate and just don't care, and carry on making a racket despite warnings from management. Stairwells very narrow and awkward. Be warned if you have anything other than a ground floor apt. I couldn't get half my furniture up the stairs and there is no elevator. The communal laundry services need updating. There are limited washers and dryers and they're extremely old. I had hook-ups for my own in my patio closet, but couldn't get my machines up the stairwell.....

Overall, it isn't a horrible place to live, but it's not the best, either. I only had a short term lease so not too bad, but I don't think I'd want to live there long-term. I would recommend it to a friend, but I'd advise them to be very picky on which part of the building they live in.
