I am a former resident who lived there for 3 years and just moved out a couple months ago. Overall it was very positive experience - staff is helpful, no problem with maintenance - they usually send somebody next day I complain. Very nice area and we loved the location - close to 41, Cape, Fort Myers Beach and 75. Nice pools and trees. Omni club is across the road.
What we did not like:
1) louder than it should be, but that's because our windows were facing parking lot and street - you can pay a little extra and get the one with windows to the lake. But we did not have any problems with neighbours for 3 years, maybe we were lucky :) We did not even hear them
2) no washer/dryer inside
3) mess with the dumpsters (more trash than dumpster can take, so trach is all around the dumster) and it smells!
I read here that many people had issues getting deposit back. My deposit was big ($1,100) and I was afraid I am not getting it back. I spent one week cleaning my appartment so after that it looked better than I moved in :) Also I asked them to be there when they do an inspection. Units are quite old and you may find a lot of issues/defects, so I was afraid they would be too picky. But they were not. They said everything is fine, I made sure I got copy of the inspection list and 1,5 months later I had my check (Florida law to return deposit in 30 days and they claimed they sent it 2 weeks after I moved out, but it seems it was lost. So after couple calls to the office, I recieved my check)
If you get a right price, make sure you see the unit before you move in. I heard they had older and newer unit, so ask them for newer ones.
I liked my small appartment and price was right, so you should definetly consider this appartment complex.
By the way they changed management in March 2008, so maybe it will be getting better. When I moved out they ran a promotion - sign 14 month least and get 4 months free so I would end up paying $600 for 2 bedroom. But I found nicer and better (but more expensive) place to live, so you like the price - I would recommend this complex
