Heather Glenn is horrible, and has ridiculous regulations.

Starting out, Heather Glenn looked beautiful, and was one of the nicest apartments around, and with the price, it seemed like a good deal. It was a no-brainer. Until we actually looked into it. On rent.com, and various other websites, including the Heather Glenn website, it was 750 for a two bedroom. When we called the property, they told us to come in and view a unit. We got there, and the staff asked us every question imaginable, asked how much we made, and how much we were going to make, our address, and our full names. We were told we make too much money to live here, as there is a 30,000 income cap.
Together, my boyfriend and I surely make more than $30,000 a year. The lady told us we made too much, and that my boyfriend would have to not have a job and stop working if we wanted to live there.
We asked how much it was, and immediatly she said 850, which is 100 more than its own website.
We proceeded to go on with her presentation, and she told us it was 85 dollars to apply, which is not returnable if denied.
She also told us that washers and driers were included in the price. But it wasn't until later we found out that it isn't part of the plan, and that she had already assumed we wanted one and factored it into our price without telling us. We asked howmuch that was a factor and she said we can have them removed and pay $40 dollars less a month, but it still doesn't add up to the extra 100 she told us.
After all this, she showed us the floor plan, which we had already seen online, and when we asked to see the unit, she said no. She said they were on a wait list, even though they had "moving in specials" signs around the perimeter. When we called earlier that day, she had asked what size, and when we told her 2 bedrooms she said that they had one and she would show us if we came, and when we came, she didn't have one anymore. We drove about 20 minutes, as we live in Shalimar, and when we arrived she didn't show us a unit and said they had no vacancy.
We looked at reviews before we came, figuring that not all tenants are going to be happy and now matter how great an apartment, someone is always dissapointed, but when we arrived there, we encountered the same problems as the people before us.
Heather Glenn asked us about all our financial information and asked the only question they cared about, are you 18. Being as we are over 18, they then opened the doors. After seeing us, and learning about us, they already had denied us based on our income and warned us if we wanted to move in we could not have any changes to our lifestyle, such as my boyfriend getting a new job, or I getting a higher position and making more income.
We believe money is money, and always thought the principle of life was everyone takes money. But we were wrong. We had looked online and saw Heather Glenn was portrayed as low income housing, but when we looked at it we thought it was beautiful and figured that with its price being high for LIH, that it couldn't be true. I have never encountered a place that told me I couldn't work because I would make too much money.
