You do NOT want to live here

Somehow I managed to make it through two years here, but I don't know how. The alleged "central heat and air" is actually a glorified window unit, modified to try to serve the entire 2 bedroom unit. It fails at its attempts to do so. Summers are swaltering, despite soaring electric bills. Expect to have problems with all interior doors. Exterior door locks provide no security, and can easily be defeated. Although there appear to be two "deadbolts", you only get a key to one, and it can be bypassed by any idiot with a credit card. Management is "difficult" at best. Adherance to posted office hours is almost non-existent. At times, the alleged "on-site management" (which does not actually reside at the complex) is only available for one or two hours one or two days a week. If you consider Archer Court for your next home, I would strongly suggest you become intimately familiar with the terms of your lease, and perhaps befriend a good lawyer. On numerous occassions management blatently misinformed me about the terms of my lease, in an attempt to get me to sign a new lease prematurely or to assess fees unjustly. In summary, if you are desperate for a place to live, I'd suggest crashing at the Y for awhile before you lock youself into the hell that is Archer Court.
