I lived there from August 2003 to December 2003, and after living in Melrose, it was like a dream come true. My apartment was gorgeous, I had the taupe color scheme, a big Roman tub, a huge walk-in closet, the tile was beautiful, and everything felt new and fresh. My only complaint was the walls were paper thin. I lived on the 3rd floor and felt bad for the ppl below me, and I could literally hear the phone ring on the floor beneath me and the girl talking on it. But I had very quiet neighbors and hearing someone on the phone is nothing compared to other apartments in g'ville. This place is seriously wonderful - my first night I moved in, the staff brought me a box with popcorn & 2 Cokes, and I never needed anything fixed. As a person who lived in 3 different apartments in Gainesville, I highly recommend Bellamay. If you don't want to live in a loud place with a bunch of annoying freshman who party all the time, move here. (who likes apartment parties anyway, go to someone's HOUSE) People always said it was out of the way, but in reality, it's really central to a lot of things. I did Park and Ride to UF and left 30-45 minutes before my classes started (and had plenty of time); plus, it's right next to a Walgreen's and Eckerd's, across the street from a library and small church, right around the corner from Publix, not to mention the mall and all those stores on Newberry, close to the movie theatre and great restaurants...I could go on forever and would still be there if I wasn't going to grad school at USF.
