I am going to lay down the truth about the apartments. When I moved in, I was the first person in the apartment. I was really impressed and I thought for sure that I had found "the best place in Gainesville" until I graduated from med school. In the beginning I heard no noise, maintenance was super quick, the scenery was beautiful and the apartment staff was the best. Now, I am embarrassed to have friends over. The outside of my apartment smells like dog crap (all of the time), After calling repeated times, I have yet to have the roaches sprayed for, and the windows from the hurricanes in September 2004 (Yes, September) still leak when it rains. And hello, where is the friendly office staff that I used to know. Now when I go in to get a "fresh baked cookie," I get my head chewed off. Don't you think that my $800.00 rent I pay could afford me more than one rationed cookie a month'
I remember a time when the office staff worked to keep us happy. Pizza parties, breakfasts on Saturdays. There was two girls who always seemed to be there with a smile. They always remembered my name, but now when I have friends that come to play basketball, I am repeatedly questioned as to whether I live here or not. You know what the really sad thing is, we play
b-ball every week. The plain truth, if you want a beautiful apartment but not a quality apartment, If you want to give your money, but have no one remember your name, my recommendation, don't waste your time, money or effort, rent somewhere where else.
