Casablanca West as a whole is an ok community. It's convenient and the homes are decent (if you get a good one). If you can rent from a private owner or someone other than AMJ I would recommend it. However, do not under any circumstances or false promises rent from AMJ Inc. of Gainesville. They have a history (including me as a victim) of being thieves with your deposit. If you move into one of their units it is my opinion that you will lose your security deposit no matter how clean you keep the unit. I have spoken to people from another unit (and the tenant who was in my unit previously) and they both have said the same thing. It is also my opinion that their maintenance crews are incompetent. If something breaks once it will probably break again. They couldn't even fix a towel rack correctly. It is my opinion that AMJ is full of questionable "business" people and I highly advise anyone who is lucky enough to find this review before renting from them to stay as far away as possible. You'll be sorry if you sign a lease with them.
