I had a 3rd floor apartment at Oakbrook Walk during the 2008-2009 school year. It is true you can easily and quickly walk to campus (or Shands) if it's a nice day and you don't want to take the bus, however the bus is easy to catch out front. My apartment was quiet (I needed quiet for study),and the balcony had a lovely view of one of their two pools. The 3rd floor apartments have cathedral ceilings, making them seem spacious. My neighbors were good people. Loved having a utility room with W/D. The grounds were kept up and gorgeous. Maintenance was speedy if I needed them for any reason what-so-ever. The guard at the gate was sympathetic and friendly and there for me all the many nights I had to walk in late after my rehearsals. The staff was acommodating about my parents visiting and using parking. All, in all, I enjoyed my year at Oakbrook Walk and have good memories of my time there. I recommend it highly.
