I couldn't dream of a better place to live. My friend and I searched all over town for a reasonably priced apartment that had a fair layout - that is, one where both bedrooms were the same size and there were 2 bathrooms. We absolutely fell in love with Park Lane and just started our 2nd year living here. The bedrooms, living room, dining room, and balcony are large. The bathrooms and kitchen are gorgeous - tile floor, beautiful countertops and fixtures. The walls are much better insulated than any other place I've lived - we very rarely hear our neighbors. There is a half mile sidewalk around the inside of the complex for exercising or dog-walking, plus a wonderful pool, indoor basketball court, billiards room, and regularly scheduled fun days for the residents. If maintenance needs to come into your apartment (which is rare and for safety purposes only - like checking your smoke detector or fire place), they always let you know beforehand, and in the year-plus I've lived here, I've never had them come in unexpectedly (my old apartment would do pest control early in the morning and wake me up while I scrambled for a bathrobe). The community is gated and provides ample parking close to your front door. Publix right across the street is very convenient. I thought the vaulted ceilings would add to our electric bill (more space to cool) but the Energy Star appliances in our apartment really keep costs low. Because the fitness center has not been built yet, you get a free membership to Gainesville Health and Fitness Center. My only recommendation is for management to install (covered) bike racks. I would not recommend this apartment complex to students who rely on the bus to get to campus, but for professionals, it's convenient to the restaurants and shopping of Haile Plantation, Butler Plaza, and Newberry Road.

Hello, This is the Director of Park Lane and I would like to ask you to identify yourself, or call me at the office as I would like to speak with you. Thank you so much for saying it like it is and showing that this site can be for positive comments and not always a forum for those that cannot deal. Again, thank you and please identify yourself.
