Of all the apartment complexes in Gainesville, Windmeadows is one of the better laid out. You don't feel like sardines in a can living here. The landscaping is good, and I enjoyed being able to enjoy nature. The maintenance staff is really good, they get on the job immediately no matter what time you call. They even helped me changed the battery in my car one time. Even though the leasing agents are not always the most helpful, the manager Guy is very accomodating and understanding (as long as you are good tenants). I never had any major structural problems not even during the 2004 hurricane season. I do think that the apartments are a little overpriced but I'm glad I was living here. Noise is not really an issue it all depends on who is living around you. It's location is definitely one of the best, you're not sitting directly on Archer Rd or 34th Street so it is alot easier to get out and get going. I have lived in apartments all my life, and Windmeadows is definitely one of the best places I have lived. I'm sad that I will be leaving here, I have been thoroughly spoiled by this place. The only reason I am moving is that I am goin to an internship in West Florida and then graduating and staying here is not exactly feasible now. It did my last two years of college peaceful and I thoroughly appreciate that.
