I would definitely be staying longer if this place wasn't turning condo!

I lived in an upstairs unit with my husband and infant son. The neighbors were friendly. Everyone here is very mature. Mostly grad students or families living here. Apartments are very spacious. Maintenance is the best! They have always fulfilled my requests quick and easily. They are very polite and prompt! I'll give you one example (Ex: I had a drippy bath, and they replaced everything with new fixtures!). The office staff is very nice and professional. I don't have anything bad to say about this place, except that they are turning condo!
Highly recommened!

*UPDATE: My experience at Windmeadows has been great with the exception of the office staff. The OLD office staff/manager was great and appeared to genuinely care for its residents. The old manager was manager for over 20 years...which tells me he loved his job and he always had a great rapport with the residents including me. The new staff is arrogant and rude. Ever since the condo crossover (BTW they went back as a 100% rental community!) the customer service from the office staff leaves more to be desired. They should hire a whole new staff or have them go to BEST (Building Excellent Service Together) week long orientation like they do for us Shands employees. Been a residence here from 2005-2008. Will be forced out due to renovations and will be looking elsewhere. Going to a realtor for a house, that would be cheaper than paying rent here.

Is this someone who really lived their or is it Windmeadows just getting their rating up?

Yes, I really do live here. If I "worked" here why would I say that I was leaving BECAUSE they were turning condo (which I think is a dumbass idea in the first place...) Anyway,, apartmentwise, love it here, but definitely NOT condo worthy..the property is basically 40 years old for chrissake!

We also moved there in 2005 and decided to move because of the apartment gutting. And your comments about the old office staff and the new office staff could not be more true. The new manager is a liar and her staff are terrified of her. And have you also noticed that every time we are given a timeline of when improvements will be made everything is always at least 6 months late ... and ALWAYS the fault of the contractors (on no, not OUR fault). The idiotcy of trying to go condo ... I literally laughed at them when they asked me is I would be interested in buying a 30 year old apartment for $210K!
