Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
Hot on the heels of big city urban development and pressed to put its best foot forward for Super Bowl 2005, numerous redevelopment projects have surfaced in downtown Jacksonville. Among these projects is 11 E Forsyth, formerly the American Heritage Life insurance building, which has been saved from a crumbling ruin and restored by Vestcor into apartment and loft residences. At first, I was not impressed by this project. Having lived here for almost a year, however, has taught me that sometimes really good things can come as a result of the NFL.
