I signed a one year lease in November 2004. Biggest mistake I ever made, because the apartment was close to my work & school. Upon moving in: Washer & Dryer not installed as promised. Didn't get for seven months, but was still charged extra in my rent. The apartment was not cleaned, painted, or carpets cleaned. Office claimed wrong apartment was done. I had to move in anyway! When they showed up to paint, before the cleaners showed up, I might add, they painted over food, dirt, and bugs in the kitchen cabinets. I had two and three feet holes in my master bedroom walls where they cut open to install plumbing for washer & dryer that they did not come and finishe for three months. I had huge bugs crawling in from the exposed walls in my bedroom. The Hot Water heater leaked for three weeks in my master bedroom before they finnaly came and replaced after I complained about the mold issue it was causing me. I called about every maintenance issue you can think of, cuz absolutley nothing in the apartment worked, and you never got a response. One night I came back from a trip and had no power. I called JEA they told me it was a problem on site at the Apartment, not them and to call maintenance. I called them, it was a very hot night, they said it was JEA, I said no JEA said it's you. They never showed up so after three hours I called JEA back and they told me how to go outside, find the power box and re-set it. I am a single woman, walking around in the dark at 3:00 am with a JEA guy on the phone, helping me find the power to the building, so I could turn it back on myself. Guess what' I found it and did it myself. Mainteneance showed up at 9:00 am to tell me that they just got my power back on!! Can you believe it! Well believe it. When I called about my water heater situation, I was told that the reason it had not been fixed was that they did not have a spare key to my apartment! I said great! So I've been waiting three weeks because you lost my key, and didn't even bother to tell me. I gave them my key to make a copy of and " Hold onto your seats ladies and gents" This is what happened next. It was around midnight and I was up late packing to go out of town on an early morning flight. I was home alone, as my 13 year old daughter was staying with family while I was out of town. I'm standing in the front door hall way, packing the last of my clothes in my suitcase by the front door, and I hear a key going into my front door. I have all the lights off, only the TV on, and I'm only wearing a tank top and a pair of undies. I froze, and just watched the deadbolt, thinking, obviousley somebody has the wrong apartment, and the lock won't move, and they will realize they can't get in....WRONG!! I watched the key turn perfectly in the deadbolt and to my horror, the door opened and a drunk, middle aged hispanic man came walking directley towards me. I yelled at him and told him that he had the wrong apartment, and he just kept coming staggering towards me. I yelled at him again to get out and shoved him as hard as I could out the door. He fell on his ass and I slammed the door, locked it, put the chain lock on, and ran for the phone. I dialed 911 and told them that a man had just entered my apartment with a key and to come right away. I ran back to the door, because the man had put the key back in the lock and had opened the dorr again! I had the chain on and shoved it closed again, all the while I'm screaming for the police to hurry and arrive. I hung up with the police and called the office. I explained what had just happened, that the police were on the way, and to please get mainteneance over ASAP to change the lock immediatley. The ploice showed up, did all they could, but even after severl calls to the after hours office, mainteneance never showed up! I did not sleep all night. I missed my flight, which cost me $ 485.00 because the ticket was non-refundable. I went to the office and was waiting for them to open in the morning. When I told them what had happened to me, they had the nerve to ask me how many keys I had lost! That they show that they have all my keys accounted for! I said you got to be kidding me! I just called you a week ago about mainteneance issues and you told me the reason they werent done was because you couldn't find my key, and I had to give you my key to make a copy!! It is so bad, I could write a horror story and probably be on the best seller list! The topper of all this is, I SPENT TWO WEEKS CLEANING THAT PIECE OF CRAP APARTMENT!! I used to clean military houses for a living, so when I say clean, you could eat off the baseboards! I had that aprtment so clean, because I was moving out, buying a house, and needed all of my $ 930.00 deposit back for my closing! I was told during my inspection, that my apartment was the cleanest apartment she had ever inspected, and that she saw no reason why I would not get a full refunf on my deposit. She told me that it would be four to six weeks to get it back, and I said ok, because I am closing on my house in 7 weeks, and I will need that money. Well guess what! It is week 10 and I still have not received my deposit back. I have had to reschedule my closing twice, I can't tell you the misery they have caused me, and the only reason I even desided to do this review, is because I tried to call them again this morning as to why I still don't have my depost and THE OFFICE PHONE IS TEMP DISCONNECTED!! by the way THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE I LIVED THERE. I was looking on line for a corporate number or address when I found this and read the other reviews. I really didn't have time to do this crap today, but it's worth it, if I keep one person from making the biggest mistake of there lives DO NOT MOVE INTO THAT HELL HOLE!!! I'm begging you..... P.S. sorry for spelling errors

Thanks for your advise. I will pass it on to others. People that take the time to write these reviews are greatly appreciated. I was laughing so hard at this crap, I was almost crying. It is hard to imagine that an apartment complex would be operated in this manner.
