I have lived at the Aventine for the past year and when
I moved in it was great, got a great rate on the rent, people were nice.
The thing that really irritates me right now is the fact that they have created this "mandatory" trash pickup which is supposed to be convienient, but for who' They do it Sunday thru Monday , they charge you an extra $15 in addition to what your normal utilities are. Regular trash prices were previously only $8 per month. During the week I maybe have enough trash to empty it 3 times a week and God forbid I miss the time they come to pick it up, well I have to take it out and go dump my own trash so who is this convinient for' Not me. You it think they would offer it on the weekend when people are home and able to utilize this supposedly "convenient" service . So I am still having to take my trash out myself ( I had to take the trash out this morning, well my husband did) . Also don't ge me started on the trash can they make you keep. It is too small and in the way in the tiny apartment and you have to put your trash out in it to get it picked up or they won't take your trash. So if I choose to use the service I have to tranfer my trash from my very ample trash can to their small inadequate one.
It would not be so bad if they gave you the option to utilize this service or not. But, since they don't give you the option to refuse it you end up paying almost triple your normal trash rate and you end up taking it out yourself about three quarters of the time anyway.
