When my apartment was inspected during the initial move-out time, the complaints that "Debbie" the manager found was that she found a nail hole in the wall, the carpet was a little dirty, the edges on the part where you open the sliding glass door was dirty, and the stove top burner had a spot on it. She had taken $120 of my deposit and her tone of voice was very rude when she was descibing what she had seen. She was bragging about how ----- and span" she keeps her apartment. On top of this, she had never bothered to take any pictures of my apartment to prove what she was saying.
The apartment that my husband and I lived in New England from 2000 to 2001, we had gotten our full $500 deposit back despite the fact that we did not shampoo the carpet while we were there, there was a crack in the bottle shelf of the refrigerator, one of the burners on the stove was dirty, and we had several nail wholes on the walls.
I feel cheated by Debbie and as long as she is manager there, I would never rent from her again. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV

From: Debra Prendergast, Manager. I have never kept $120.00 from someones deposit for items like you list. I AM tough on Move-out charges if the apartment is left dirty. I don't move someone in a dirty apartment either. I probably do have photos in your file however,as I try to be thorough when I bill charges. Unfortunately, I DON'T keep my apartment ---- and span, so if I really said that, well, I didn't, because I don't.
