I there for about 2 1/2 years. The ceiling was stained with bat urine from the hundreds of bats living in the "attic". As long as you pay your rent on time and never complain, Debra will be very nice to you. But, once you have a maintenance issue she will blow you off. The final straw was broken when she signed for a package and said she never received it (even after she was given a copy of her signature from UPS). When we broke our lease we paid the penalty but she is stating she never got it. The management is horrible as well as dishonest. The units are small and dirty. I would never advise anyone to move in here.

FROM: DEBRA PRENDERGAST, MANAGER: I know who you are. Every negative comment you made is false. There have never been any bats in any attic at Belle Rive. On two occasions in almost 9 years, squirrels were found in two of our attics and quickly erraticated. There was no stain of any kind on any ceiling in your apartment when you moved out. I have documentation of the condition of your apartment upon your move-out as well as a subsequent painting invoice which details the condition of the walls and ceilings which were painted. OUR PAINTER NOTES THE CONDITIONS OF CEILINGS AND WALLS ON HIS INVOICE. Perhaps you are confusing the urine stain with the carpeting, which was covered in pet urine. Incidentally, as far as I knew you did not have a pet and did not have a pet lease for a dog in your apartment although I recall your fiance owned a dog....I had no pet fee or deposit on the apartment during your lease term. You ACCUSED me of stealing a package addressed to your address, but admitted when the item was ordered and delivered that it was not in your name. You advised me by TELEPHONE ONLY that you had a copy of the delivery receipt that I signed. I told you if that was the case to please bring it to me. I certainly would have been shocked to know I had to trace an item that I signed for. YOU NEVER BROUGHT ME THE ALLEDGED DELIVERY RECEIPT. I contacted UPS and they had no claim from you on a missing item. You say you paid the penalty fee for breaking your lease which is also a false statement. Basically you are accusing me of being a thief. WE NEVER ACCEPT CASH IN OUR OFFICE, AND IF YOU INDEED HAD PAID THE APPROPRIATE PENALTIES I'M SURE YOU WOULD HAVE A CANCELLED CHECK TO PROVE THAT. WHY WOULD YOU NOT PRODUCE THAT CANCELLED CHECK TO REMOVE A COLLECTION ITEM FROM YOUR CREDIT HISTORY??? I'M STILL FINDING IT A MYSTERY WHY A PAST RESIDENT WOULD COMMENT ON THE SIZE OF THE APARTMENT AS BEING "SMALL" WHEN THEY CHOOSE TO LEASE IT AFTER SEEING THE SIZE UPON THEIR INITIAL VIEWING. IF AN APARTMENT IS "DIRTY", I CAN ONLY COMMENT THAT WE DO NOT PROVIDE HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES IN OUR RENTAL AGREEMENT. I ALSO FIND IT STRANGE IN YOUR CASE THAT YOU WOULD INITIALLY MOVE IN WITH A ROOMMATE AND THEN STAY FOR AN ADDITIONAL LEASE TERM AFTER THEY MOVED OUT IF YOU WEREN'T SATISFIED.
