I came across this, by looking for something else and was surprised to read all of the negative comments. From my experience, Debra has been very nice and I have always been able to contact her or the front office staff. I have had complaints but they were resolved in a timely manner. This is my first time renting on my own, so I was not sure what to expect, but I have had a nice experience overall. I do however believe that somethings could have been better. Here is my take on the complex from a renter who actually enjoyed staying there. I will try to be as unbiased as possible and state the facts of some of my experinces.
-We all see the exercise room before we rent and because I had not plan on using it anyway it didn't bother me. However, most of the equipment isn't great and is outdated.
-The pool is clean off and on. More off than on. I beleive the trees play a big part in that. Eventhough the trees make the pool area look very nice, the complex should invest in equipment to keep the pool clean.
-I have had problems with roaches, both dead and alive, but the exterminator was called out and the problem was taken care of.
-I have noticed that yellow stuff that runs down the bathroom wall and I am not a smoker. I thought that I was the only one to experience that and that it was something that I had or was using in my bathroom that caused it.
-After you have stayed there for awhile and the rent is increased you do get the feeling that what are paying is too much for what it is worth and that is when I made the decision to move. The place is fine for the initial rent cost, but anything above that amount is a pretty stiff price.
From reading the complex's remarks, I noticed that Debra relies on Federal/State/City guidelines for some of living standards. We all know that the our government sets low standards for a lot varying issues. I feel that a complex of this stature should raise above those minimum requirements and checks, becuase the rent amount is definetely higher than the minimum.
To the prospect tenants and current tenants, really take into consideration what an apartment complex has to offer and whether or not it fits your needs. There is no room for complaints about things that are openly told and shown to you before you sign a lease.
My advice to Debra P. and Belle Rive is to take in consideration what is being said, there is some underlying truth in most of these stories posted. Try to weed out all the negative remarks and focus on what can be done to make the complex living experience better.
At Belle Rive, I feel safe. It is a beautiful complex with friendly neighbors and office staff. The people there look out for each other but respect one's privacy. Remember that no apartment complex will be a perfect fit for everyone living there. There will be always those who love it or hate it. I am in no means saying that it is the best place to live or has the very service, but I will say my experience there has been good and I would certainly recommend this to those who are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and friendly place to live.
