I have lived here one year, and overall my experience here has been okay. The apartments are spacious and the property is fairly quiet, with only a few exceptions of noisy neighbors (but you will get that anywhere you live).
I've had to get my air conditioner repaired 3 times within a year, and I had a major water leak in my bathroom. The staff initially responded to fixing the leak quickly, but I had to hound them to get them to complete the work.
My major gripe is that after only one year residing here they are raising the rent significantly. So much so that I can't afford to continue to live here. Kind of scummy to do that to good tenants that are never late on rent payments. But I guess that is what to expect when you rent from a bigger company like Equity...they care about the $$$ and not the tenants.
I have to agree with a previous reviewer about the stairwells and landscaping not being kept up and clean...and the pools are gross.
Oh yeah, the building has a roach problem. Now, you can say that it is Florida and everyplace has a roach problem...not true. My last apartment had NO roaches. These buildings are really infested.
Basically, if you are okay with the rent being increased considerably when your lease is up, then you might be happy here. Not the best place I've lived in, but definitely not the worst.

I have lived in several equity apts, including non-Equity places, and you will always get an increase. It's called inflation, all bills get higher. It makes me sad to see negative words written about such a great community, company and staff. They are not your mom, they are running a business.

To respond to the other response to this review dated 4/23/2007...
Bermuda Cove raised my rent by $150 after just ONE year. That is NOT inflation, that is a RIP_OFF. And the staff at this complex is average at best.
Get a clue.
