I currently work at Brookwood Forest and agree to some extent with some of the complaints stated by one of the resident. I started here June 2007. I am also upset that there are always numerous complaints yet no plan of action offered. On the other hand, proactive residents who realize that this is a community and although there is a courtesy officer and security patrol- we cannot be here at all times.

My question to the residents:
1. Is it really that hard to open the compactor and place your trash inside'

2. Is there any reason you will send a small child to place your trash in a compactor when it clearly states you must be 18 or older'

3. Why would you place your cigarette butts, soft dink bottles, clothing, candy and gum, weave, blunt paper, diapers and every other unsanitary item in the breezeways, stairs, in front of your door'

4. Why must you sit on your stairs instead of in your home'

5. Why do try to sneak a pet in but are rude when asked to move'

6. Are there any parents who are truly concerned about the whereabouts of your child' And if so then why must we enforce a curfew'

7. Where were the parents when the kids tore up the volleyball net'

8. Where were the parents when your kids broke the gate by swinging on it'

9. Where were the parents when the kids terrorize the neighbors'

10. Where are the residents who are not afraid to call the police department of loud noise, neighbors or anything else they feel we the staff should take care'

11. Why are we a great staff when we waive your late fees, and work with you on your rent'

12. Is there any reason you rather come to the office and yell, curse and threaten, than accept that when you moved in you signed a lease with al the rules and regulations of the complex.

I know for a fact the Misty has an open door policy and is willing to do whatever she can to help her residents (i.e. picking up trash, batteries, and cigarettes). We as a staff are making remarkable strides it seems in a community where a complaint to office is better than a resident who will accept responsibility for their actions. It is unfortunate our property is being destroyed by the few whom care- please note they will not survive here. It is our intention to keep Brookwood Forest a safe environment for anyone who qualifies to live.

This is just too funny. Before I moved, I called the police on my neighbor for her kids behavior a total of four times and you still did nothing. She and her kids are still there and the new tenant is having the same problem. If you allow the police officers to have dogs, why not the tenants? Why just have one compactor for the whole complex and put it right in the front? Why can't you answer the telephone, then no one will have to be frustrated and yell and curse? What difference does it make where I sit as long as I am not disruptive? Face the fact that the complex is a dump because maagement does not enforce the rules or rather they enforce them for some and not others. I have seen you rush to evict a non-white for non-compliance and make excuses for a white. The walls are thin and you know that you can hear your neighbor flush the toilet. I realize you need a job, but stop being bias. Brookwood Forest is poorly built and you do not screen your tenants so you get the people who do not follow rules.

Yes, it is hilarious that online is where the complaints are made and notin person. The courtesy officer has no dog. I assume you are speakingof the prior staff. I am uncertain if you were given a tour before moving into the community to notice the location of the dumpster. It may have influenced your decison to move in to the community. yelling and cursing resolves nothing but an ope honest dialogue always get result. Yelling at the staff will only frustrate you the resident - and worst case scenario cause you to lose your home. If all else fails please contact the corporate offices at 1-407-741-8600. as aresident your concerns a should be heard and addressed in a timely manner. unfortunately we cannot choose your neighbors, but we can try to make sure your living environment is a peacful one. please feel to come by the office or call the corporate offices to report the challengs you may be having with your neighbor and the office staff. we strive for excellence and apologize that your tenancy with Brookwood has not been a joyful one. As far as needing a job, we have a more than qualified staff who are experts in THEIR CHOSEN career field. the statements do not reflect the community as a whole, but points out some of the challeges we as staff also face and become digruntled with.
