i can not stand people who complain about apartments! obviously you knew you weren't walking into luxury. if you wanted some peace and quiet then you should have saved up some money and bought your own damn single family home. apartments are what they are. please stop comlpaining about dog poop, noise, trash, or lack of privacy. sometimes things don't work right and you have to call someone to fix it. would you rather do it yourself' i am sure they would love that. you would save them a ton of hassle. oh but that's right, you don't know how to fix it. so please stop complaining!

I havent complained about any of the issues you brought up but I think it is more than fair that people post them. Yes things are going to get broken or need to be fixed because it is a rental. However, I can assume that all the residents much like myself pay above the average rent in the area to live in a nicer apartment complex while we save to buy a house. That being said I dont expect everything to be perfect but I also dont expect there to be something wrong for a long duration of time or in several rooms of the apartment. It is not as if it were impossible to find an apartment complex where these would not be issues. I am neither defending the other posters nor myself because I have no reason to, but I do feel your objections to their posting of their situation is completely invalid. There are apartments out there with out a lot of noise, there are apartments out there where you dont see dog poop in the grass. I personally am not bothered by these things but I see no reason why someone who is should not post it on a website designed to give prostpective renters an on site evaluation of the complex.

You are a sad, sad little person aren't you? Or perhaps you work for Equity Residential... People have a right to express their opinions. It just so happens that most people who go to places like these are doing so to express their negative experiences. I've never read a positive review on these types of sites, and if I did, I'd think it was someone in management. Just leave it alone - you are not personally affected by things that people write on here, so get over it. Oh, and since you have so much free time to write unnecessary posts, why don't you spend some of it picking up some of the dog crap, or trash???

I have been a resident here for going on two years and never had any issues until then!! The place was fine and well managed which is why we chose this place. It's clear that you do not live in this community. Every one has there own reason for wanting to rent instead of buying and that is to the privacy of each individual. If everyone is complaning it's because there is something wrong!! We all tried to get it fixed however if we are writing bad comments it's because we are tired of things not being taken care off!!! Perhaps people should do their job right and if they don't like their job they should go look for another one! I'm speaking for residents that do pay their rent every month and would like to receive the services that were promissed.

I didn't like the new colors @ first, but once they dried they aren't so bad. I was looking @ the old paint job, which was water damaged and rusty looking, and this is a step up. As for the dog poop, that's an issue with dirty tenants that don't clean up after their pets. I have seen a limited few use the PROVIDED poop bags to pick up their dogs mess. In my opinion others should be fined if caught not doing this! The poop has always been an issue in my little piece of yard. I was waiting for them to replace mY fogged up, drafty, constantly mildewing (no matter how often I cleaned them with bleach) windows with the old management & the new finally did so. I noticed the shards of glass, but an outside contractor was hired and if it was reported I'm sure they would have been asked to clean the mess up, because they sure removed mine. I agree the grass is dying and this definitely needs to be fixed! It is summer, a dry one at that, so they should be running the sprinklers more...duh! I was thinking they should have regular pest control, but I've learned they do come out every Tuesday, but instead of overspraying the apartments (I have allergies), you can call the office when you need them (we have tiny flies and mosquitoes coming in thru our front door. The mosquitoes are eating me alive!) As for rent... I dunno why people complain about the rent. Payment on the 4th? Rent is due on the 1st and is late after the office closes in the 3rd, that's nicer than some other places, where it's late on the 3rd! Last time I checked the Rental Box was open once the office is closed...Most importantly, have you seen the cost of other apartments (of smaller size and higher noise quantities)? I have a larger 2 bed/ 2 bath, with a "lake view" (might as well call it a large bird bath, with the lack of rain... but I think green and understand it's better to leave it natural than try to fill it up). My roomate and I are both student @ UNF and they really work with our finances. We went up to the office to discuss the originally $130 increase for renewal (may have been more) we got in our door. After explaining our financial situations to the gentleman in the office he worked with us to sign a 12 mnth lease with only a $20 increase, from $950 to $970 a month, starting June (not bad @ all, my friends pay $1000 for smaller places on Southside). we also get a $100 renewal credit in August which will cover most of the new renters insurance fee, which i think is a good idea to have, especially living on the 1st floor w/how the parking lot flooded last rainy season! As for the office, with old management we use to call I don't know how many times and get zero teephone response. I used to walk up there only to find some of the old employees chitchatting as the phones rang off the hook! Some needed replacing! Maintenance does take longer than they use to for minor things but they do a much better job, and if you have an emergency they do come right away. Like my neighbor had some kinda leak or left his water running and i noticed moisture in part of my living room carpet and mildew today. Maintenance came within 10 minutes of calling, ripped out the wet padding, positioned the fan to dry out the moisture, and the a/c to slow down the mildew process. Early tomorrow the carpet people will be here to either replace or clean that section of carpeting. The only problem I have is the fact that private contractors were allowed to enter our apartments with the window repairs and replacements. I know my rights though, and if something went missing or was damaged they would be responsible because I didn't sign a contract, with that company. Thankfully nothing was!
