this was my first apt by myself so i was very excited and when i first went to look at the apts i spoke with a very nice woman who promised me a different color carpet and when my actual apt came available not only was it not the brand new carpet i was promised it had what appeared to be animal urine stains! i complained about this immediately and didnt stop until my last day there. The front door looked as though it had been kicked in and never fixed so you could see straight in or out through the space between the door and the frame. Lock on the door was faulty so i asked that it be replaced...never happened had to go buy one for myself and then office tried to fine me and told me to give them a key. Assigned parking available for a couple dollars a month...i paid every month and maybe got my spot 10 days out of the month...complained to deaf ears at the office who assured me it would be taken care of...nope! My light switches in the bedrooms never worked and since there are no ceiling fans and the switches are connected to your plug this especially sucked...even worse the switches sparked anytime you tried to use them...yes fire sparks like when you strike a lighter that doesnt flame. Always broken glass in parking lot. Laundry area not lit up and faces the back so i felt very unsafe using and could only use in daytime. My two neighbors were nice but most of the people around the complex were nosey and suspicious. my tub got clogged and when i asked the maint. guy to help me, because they had a special thing on the drain so you couldnt stick stuff in there, it ended up being my hair that had wrapped itself down the stopper (i have long hair) and they said that it was considered negligence and tried to fine me once again. And now the worst part! My water heater busted one night while i was sleeping and flooded my entire downstairs apt. i called the 24hr maint line and wait nearly 45 mins for a call back...i have to be to work at 700am and this guy doesnt even call until 630am and says hell be over in 1/2 - an hr. He gets there and tells me that it cant be fixed cause it needs a special part so he will shop vac it and fix it monday or tuesday (broke on a sunday) well i had cats and was very nervous about leaving this person in my house with them but had to go to work so i left at around 900am. When i got home my ac was set on 55, my front door was unlocked, all the lights were on and the floor was still soaking wet (when i stepped i had water over my toes). I ofcourse complained and told them i would be leaving when my original lease was up (i had already signed another lease 2mo earlier cause i didnt have the money to move) and withdrawing on the new lease...i still had 30 days in my original lease. They told me that i would forfiet my deposits and have to pay the termination fees for breaking the new lease...is that even legal' It was awful and had i have known how everything worked i would have known to how to handle everything..high sight is 20/20. Dont live here unless you absolutely have to...the mangmnt is snooty and uncaring to all complaints w/ or w/out merit...they are rude and try to make you feel foolish for even speaking with them and will always turn your words around to what they need them to be...the apartments are old and not taken care of by mngmnt when tenants move out!
