Not what it first seems

The ladies that work in the leasing office are pleasant and hard working but do not carry a high level of integrity. They promised a specific move in date for me (I was moving from the Rocky Mountain region). They stated that they could possibly get me in even 2-3 business days earlier than that date if I just called them 2 weeks before my move in date. When I did call they told me that they did not plan on having me there until 5 days after the originally discussed date. It was too late to change apartments since I was moving. After some prying they finally said I could get in by the original date but the counters would not be replaced until a week after my move in date. They stated that the carpets, vynl flooring, and paint job would be new, When I showed up the carpet was old and had holes in it, they had not even steam cleaned it. The carpet had been vacuumed. The vynl was not measured well and the calking that was to hold it in place could not cover the entire gap. The walls were painted but so were the floors along the walls. I lived here for 7 months and received 3 police reports from the leasing office. 1 neighbor had their car stolen, 1 neighbor had their apartment broken into, and 1 neighbor was robbed in the parking lot at gun point.
