This place is acceptable somewhat for the price that we are paying, but if we renew our lease the price will no longer be worth what we are getting.
The floor plan is nice, but the apartment is old and falling apart. The floors squeak and basically people downstairs think someonw is getting ready to fall through the ceiling. The part that made me mad was that they show you this nice place where the floors don't squeak..and then put you in a hell hole.
When my roommates and I first moved in we had this horrible roach problem. These roaches were the worst thing that I have ever seen and in my kitchen (that sucks). They never fixed the problem, because my neighbor told me that the people that lived there before me had the same problem. It only took them three months to fix the problem...and that is only because I was on their case everyday about it. That to me was unacceptable.
As for the paint job in this place...its the worse I have ever seen. I babysit two year olds that could do a better job. They sprayed the apartment down...if it was on the wall and they painted it. They painted the light fixtures and outlets and everything else. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!
They have a really nice leasing office, with expensive furniture. My thought is if they put that much in their leasing office...then there should be enough money to fix the floors or have a better paint job.
As for the security issue...its okay. Nothing special. Parts are well lit, but there are shady characters that just make me nervous. I live in a part were there are many large vans parked, so sometimes you dont know if anyone is sitting in them or around them.
The only part of this experience that I enjoyed was our neighbor. She was extremely understanding when it came to throwing parties because she knew we were in college. She would watch our place when we were out of town...and just around nice.
My suggestion for you though is NOT TO LIVE IN THIS PLACE!!!!
