Ok for a first time on your own deal

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
My boyfriend and I moved into the complex in 2005. At the time it was what we could afford for the most square footage. We loved the office staff and enjoyed going in and talking or presenting our issues with them. There is little/no storage in the 1 bedroom appt, especially for 2 people with a bunch of stuff! The closet is small, the kitchen has a shallow sink and our dishwasher hasnt worked since 3 months after moving in, which at that time, we told the office and they sent a guy out and "fixed" it but 2 months after that it still didnt run right so we havent had a dishwasher in a while, we used it just recently and the motor is burnt out so they HAVE to replace it now. We havent had issues with parking, we always get a spot at our front door. Everyone keeps to themselves, which is nice, but you can still hear them walking around (due to squeeky old floors) thats a pain when ur tring to sleep and you feel like you have godzilla trampling around upstairs. The pool(s) are always closed and when they are open, have slime on the walls, which isnt a big issue for us, since we dont swim. The washer and dryer (in the 1/1) is outside which I thought I was going to like...untill winter came...and now I hate it. The complex is like 30-40 years old, so you cant expect top notch stuff, unless the do a complete renovation, which even then, it still wouldnt be great. I feel like I am complaining alot but when I read all the other issues that people have with apartments, I feel that ours are very minute and happen with alot of apartments that are the same age as these are. We are not going to renew the lease due to the pricing of them now and we are burnt out of the 1/1 and are looking for a bigger place with a newer feel.
