I've lived here just over two years, and I've never really had any problems. Sure, the walls are kind of thin and if you have inconsiderate neighbors, it can be a problem. And yes, if there are people having an argument in the parking lot late at night, you can hear that too. But that can happen anywhere and it happens so infrequently that it doesn't outweigh the good parts. The location is FANTASTIC. There are so many great shops within walking distance. It's tucked away off San Jose, so the only traffic is residential. The price is kind of high, but sometimes you want apartment prices to be high so you don't have a lot of kids who just got their first place and celebrate every weekend with drunken parties. The higher prices kind of weed that out.
The Maintenance Dept is *spectacular*. They get stuff fixed fast. Superfast. There have been times when I've been walking the trash to the dumpster and a maintenance guy will pull up in his golf cart and offer to take my trash for me! They're really nice.
There are lots of regular families here with young kids, (I'd say ages 10 and under') and I do wish the parents would be more responsible and watch their kids a bit more closely, but that's just me being a grumpy old(ish) person.
I've lived in other apartment complexes throughout Florida and I've rented houses before, and I'm okay with this one. I feel safe here, the location can't be beat, and there's really nothing else comparable in the area. I could rent a house, I guess, but yard work is not my idea of a fun Saturday afternoon.
If you had any hesitations about renting here based on the other reviews, well, here's me saying I've not had their particular experiences and I'm pretty happy here.

I am not lying. I've never had a cockroach here. I've had about 3 palmetto bugs in the past 2 years, but everyone knows those come in from the outside and there's not much you can do about that. Not a single roach. Your experiences may have to do with your level of cleanliness. I did have some problems with silverfish when I first moved in, but there's an exterminator that comes to the complex once a week (you just have to ask the front office for him to come by). After two consecutive visits from the exterminator, I haven't had any further problems with the silverfish. As stated in my initial review, I can't speak for anyone else, just myself. I've been a tenant in various rented homes/apartments throughout Florida for over 15 years, and I'm okay with this place. I renewed my lease. I've had places where I've chosen not to stay after the initial lease was up. This is not one of those places. I do have to retract what I said about higher prices keeping out younger clientele. Clearly I didn't consider that three could squeeze into one apartment as roommates. That situation would make it affordable for them.
